At last! After-market Dyson DC07 NEW cyclone tops are available. For a while, there has been some consternation in the trade that Dyson wouldnt sell DC07 cyclone tops without selling a complete cyclone unit. That meant £36.23 for a new one from Dyson and a long wait for it to arrive.
One UK company has produced these DC07 cyclone handles. The new units that are available are all-silver handle that will compliment any colour combination of DC07 machine. The colored ones that came in yellow, red, pink, blue/turquoise and lavender/purple are unavailable as a new part without buying a complete replacement cyclone assembly. Dyson Belt & Brush Bar Removal Tool for the DC04, DC07 and DC14.
For a long time, Dyson engineers in the UK have wanted to find a belt removal tool. A tool to lift up the belt on DC04's, DC07's and DC14's to allow the brush bar to be removed easily. Most vacuum cleaner repair shops have either been using home-made belt removal tools or they struggle with a selection of other tools. At last! How to Replace the Brush Bar Motor on a Dyson DC24.
So, your brush bar (brush roll) on your Dyson DC24 isn’t turning? Before we suspect the worst, look to the front of the machine on the cleaner brush head. On the left side is a small button. This is a “reset” button. Power the machine on and off whilst pressing it a few times. Do the same with the small brush switch next to the main power switch. There are two electrical components in the cleaner head that can go wrong. The brushbar motor and the printed circuit board (the PCB). Experience has taught us that although the PCB’s in the DC24 do burn out occasionally, 99.9% of the time the brush bar motor is to blame. You can strip the head unit down, remove the motor, observe the low voltage it takes, and bench test it. So now you need to know how to strip it down dont you? Check out the video below:
